SREEPOORNA AUDITORIUM
“SREEPOORNA”, fully air-conditioned Auditorium, was inaugurated on 5th May 2013 by Shri K. Babu, the Hon’ble Minister for Excise, Port & Fisheries. “SREEPOORNA”, one of the prestigious project of NSS Karayogam, Poonithura & an integral part of Srepoorneswari Temple, with a glittering history and tradition of 61 years glorious service, is an aesthetically designed and furnished one, located beside Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway (NH 49) along Petta – Gandhisquare Road at Poonithura, Kochi Corporation in Ernakulam District, Kerala State.
“SREEPOORNA” is the one and only auditorium in Ernakulam City having ample parking facility in front of the auditorium itself, accommodating 75 cars at a time. “SREEPOORNA” is well designed for conducting Marriages, Receptions, Trade fairs, Exhibitions, etc. This hall can accommodate around 1000 persons at a time. The spacious “SREEPOORNA” has an area of more than 5300 sq ft. The stage alone comes 900 sq.ft. Round the clock power back up facility is available. The Auditorium has an elegant look with glazed vitrified tiles flooring. Air conditioning is provided by Split AC Units of more than sufficient capacity. Since Split AC Units are being used, “SREEPOORNA” can be utilized for Non-AC programmes also. “SREEPOORNA” is designed to get all the audience a clear view of the stage, no matter where they are sitting in the hall. Separate AC rooms are available for Bride and Groom. In addition to KWA water, a Well with abundant drinking water is an added amenity of this auditorium.
SREEPOORNESHWARI HALL (non A/C Dining Hall) can accommodate more than 300 people for dining at a time. This hall consists of dedicated wash area with individual washbasins & separate toilets for men & women. In addition there are more than enough toilets separately for gents and ladies near to the parking ground itself, a facility rare found in other Auditoriums. One can feel the high level of cleanliness maintained to keep the washbasins & toilets neat and hygiene always.
Being the corridor interconnecting nearby three districts viz., Ernakulam, Alappuzha & Kottayam, the NH 49 Kochi-Dhanushkodi National Highway, where “SREEPOORNA” is located has its own importance. The Mini Bye pass connecting Gandhisquare and Tripunithura is an added conveyance facility to Muvattupuzha & Kottayam direction. The distance from Tripunithura and Kundannoor Junction to “SREEPOORNA” is just 2 KMs only. Accessibility from all points without fearing terrific traffic jam of Ernakulam is an added feature of “SREEPOORNA”.
The upcoming Kochi Metro Rail Terminus (Aluva – Petta) is planned at Petta, Poonithura. The distance between Sreepoorna and Metro Rail Terminus at Petta is only 500 Meters.
